The DNR-MIL is the latest deployment of UEI’s RACKtangle® architecture. Although the original RACKtangles are quite sturdy, the DNR-MIL series takes ruggedness to the extreme. Designed for use in the harshest environments, the new RACKtangle is an ideal solution for military and aerospace deployments. The form factor is also ideal for a wide assortment of commercial applications, including use on oil rigs and refineries, heavy machinery, outdoor test rigs and any other E /S which will be exposed to the elements. All connectivity is via ROHS compliant 38999 connectors.

Electronically, the RACKtangle DNR-MIL is identical to that of the standard DNR series, except for the holding and protection circuits added to the power inputs. (This power source conditioning is required to meet MIL-STD-1275.) This means that the DNR-MIL uses standard DNR series boards (e.g. DNR-AI-217 or DNR-1553-553 ). With over 50 unique I/O boards and 12 slots available, there’s sure to be a configuration that’s perfect for your application.
The new RACKtangle is designed to meet the most common requirements of MIL-STD-461 and -810 and meets minimum IP66/NEMA6 standards. All of this is housed in a compact 17.5″ x 8.125″ x 7″ chassis, weighing less than 22 pounds and typically consuming less than 40 watts. Additionally, no rotating cooling fans are used in the design which maximizes the MTBF and Mechanical Reliability All internal circuit boards are varnished to ensure the highest reliability.
The RACKtangle frame is available in four different deployment options. In PowerDNA, UEIPAC, UEISIM and UEIMODBUS.

More than 40 cards are available for the different DNA, DNR and DNF versions, which are identical in functionality and electrical characteristics.
